The stylish and luscious Sauvignon Blanc of Marlborough has captured the heart of Villa Loco, inspiring the wine making team to acquire fruit from across the Tasman. Abounding with pungent, tropical characters and fine zesty acids, Villa Loco is moreish and fresh, fruit powered and delicious.
Light straw colour. Dandy florals on the bouquet, fine whisps of passionfruit and green apple, gooseberry with currant, a nuance of mineral and nut. Winsome and lithe to the palate, more gooseberry characters abound, grassier elements and vegetal, asparagus and snow pea, Lychee and lime. It closes to vivid, ripe acids, suggesting pineapple, lemon grass and green melon. A suave Sauvignon, delectable on its own, congenial with good food or cheese.

"Lively and loves to live life, attractive aromas of lime and passionfruit, corn-meal and nettle. Currently, tropical on the tongue, resonates round the palate to tremolos of Lychee and guava, makes life beautiful with fresh fishes and risotto!" -Winemonthly.com.au

New Zealand premier wine region - Marlborough
Villa Loco allows nature to do its work, to yield fruit which is minimally handled, allowing the ferments to progress in a slow and easy manner. This allows the wines to reflect the perfection of nature. The end result is a Shiraz which expresses the varietal profile and regional character from which it originates.
A deeply coloured wine. Aromas of pan grille and plum, anise and cocoa. Dark plums and bramble characters are conjoined by spice, cigar box and menthol. The impressions follow through onto the dark cherry, plum and pepper, medium bodied palate. An exemplary Shiraz of intensity and persistence, its rolling tannins and mouth filling fruit culminate in a finish of sweet spice with licorice, cardamon, pitch and plum.
"Clean fragrances of currant and ground spice, chocolate, sandalwood and tar, presage a succulent palate of profoundly integrated fruit characters sheathed in a veneer of sweet smelling cocoa oak, driven by alert tannins and brought to a long lasting finish of spice, cherry and game!" - Ozwinenews.com
